Teaching in the AI era means learning, unlearning, and relearning together with my Gen Z learners

Teachers’ Day isn’t just about celebrating educators
it’s about reimagining how we connect with our students in a changing world.
On this day, we celebrate knowledge, guidance, and the unshakable bond between teachers and students. As the world is transforming at lightning speed, we i.e the teachers, should and must evolve. Today’s Gen Z learners are digital natives; they think, create, and solve problems with technology at their fingertips.
The future of education is not about machines replacing humans, it’s about AI as the best friend that helps teachers befriend their Gen Z whiz students
TEACHERS + AI = STRONGER BONDS
AI is not my competitor —it is an enabler. It empowers me to personalise learning, offer timely feedback, and free up space to focus on creativity and human connection. When I use it thoughtfully, AI becomes the translator that helps me connect with Gen Z minds in ways that are both relevant and relatable.
I am creating a classroom where every learner feels understood, valued, and inspired to grow.
CELEBRATING TEACHERS’ DAY WITH A FUTURE-READY VISION
On this Teachers’ Day, I take a moment to celebrate not only the dedication of teachers but also their openness to change.
Today, educators are not just keepers of knowledge; they are bridge-builders who embrace AI as a co-teacher rather than a competitor.
They are visionaries who create classrooms where Gen Z learners feel connected, understood, and ready to face the future.
The future of education is not Teacher vs. Technology.
It’s Teacher + Technology.
